Well, we've done it. We actually booked our skydive at Perranporth for 22nd June. Something we've been planning since September in memory of Shane. Shane had always wanted to do a parachute jump and no matter what was going to do one on his 40th Birthday. This is something I swore I would never do. But now seems the most fitting tribute to Shane that I could think of. On top of that we get to raise more awareness of Meningitis and the symptoms people need to be aware of. We also get thr chance to raise more money for The Meningitis Trust who have been in contact with us since soon after Shane died. 42 days to go.......the online page has already raised £150 which was only set up late last night, which means we've reached the fundraising target we have set for Shane's tribute fund! It's amazing!! People's generosity is overwhelming. Since Shane died, so many people have told me how they or members of their family have first hand experience of this devastating disease.
