This site is dedicated to the memory of Shane White.

Shane was a greatly loved Son, Fiance, Brother, Uncle, Nephew and Friend. He died suddenly of Meningitis on 31st March 2012 aged 38. His death has left a huge void for everyone in his life. Shane was a great achiever at work and loved outdoor pursuits. He was hugely respected by his work colleagues, where he worked his way up through the company to become a Shift Manager. He lived in Lostwithiel for most of his life, and loved his home town so much. He was passionate about fishing, catching over 100 salmon and 2500 sea trout, all caught on his beloved River Fowey which runs from Bodmin Parkway, through Lanhydrock and Lostwithiel. He loved sharing those fish with family and friends. Shane played cricket for Boconnoc Cricket Club within The Boconnoc Estate, he thrived in the outdoors and would love to see the deer walk across the cricket pitch. He was due to get married to his Fiancee Kerran, but sadly died just 14 days before their Wedding Day. Meninigitis Now raises awareness of the symptoms and supports families who have been bereaved or who are living with the after effects of this terrible illness. They also campaign for a vaccine to prevent Meningitis. The work of the Community Support Officers is a vital lifeline to anyone affected. Something which we are very grateful for.
